Founded in 2002, The Winter Park Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, professional musical theatre dedicated to producing year-round musical theatre programming that entertains, uplifts and inspires Central Florida residents and visitors. The Playhouse is proudly affiliated with Actors' Equity Association, the national union of actors and stage managers, and features outstanding professional talent.

The physical theatre is currently closed due to COVID-19, but we have wonderful virtual entertainment events planned each month until we reopen in January 2021.

Welcome to our Weekly Update!

It's hard to believe it's already mid-September and the Playhouse has been closed for 6 months! Rest assured, this is only an intermission and we will be back in 2021 with wonderful live programming for you to enjoy.

Many of you have reached out during the shutdown and asked how you can help. Thank you for your concern and support! Here are some of the ways you can help The Playhouse endure this extremely difficult time and come out strong on the other side.

     1.  Make a donation: Gifts large and small are meaningful and we are grateful for any amount you are able to give. If you would like to break your donation into smaller monthly amounts, we are happy to do that as well. In lieu of cash donations, many patrons prefer to donate stock shares or make a charitable contribution directly from an IRA. The Winter Park Playhouse is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization so there are tax benefits to any type of donation.
     2.  Attend our virtual musical events: We are offering monthly entertainment events that are new and unique each month. The money raised from these events supplants the ticket sales we normally would receive for live events. We are asking for minimum donations instead of selling tickets to avoid the processing fees charged by the online ticketing company.
     3.  Purchase a 2021 Series Subscription: Our 2021 Series Subscriptions are on sale now and start at $180 for all 6 professional musicals. Ticket pre-sales revenue is being reserved and will go directly to producing the wonderful line up of Mainstage Musicals in 2021. Subscriptions are a fantastic value and make wonderful gifts for the upcoming holiday season.

As a reminder, our next new virtual event will feature Mr. Shawn Kilgore in a cabaret titled "Impossible Dream: The Best of Broadway's Leading Men." It will be available to enjoy for a three-day period from 11:00 am on Friday, September 25, 2020 to 11:00 am on Monday, September, 28, 2020. A minimum donation of $20 per person is required to receive the private link and password at 11:00 am on September 25.
